On the afternoon of March 1, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of The University of Danang (UD) welcomed Dr. Nguyen Dai Vinh - Director of Hoa Vang District Medical Center, Da Nang City and Ms. Dang Thi Cong - Head of Nursing at Hoa Vang Hospital, who visited and discussed the results of aid reception and putting into use of medical equipment from Japanese partners through the support and connection from the Japan Center - UD. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Japan Center, UD's Center for Learning Resources and Communication.

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Dai Vinh - Director of Hoa Vang District Medical Center announced the results of receiving medical equipment aid including 04 disinfection and water treatment equipment for Hoa Vang District Medical Center by the Original Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd (OEC), Japan (representing for UNIDO and AGC Asahi Glass (AGC) sponsors from Japan) which were installed, tested and initially put into operation and use at Hoa Vang Hospital.

The Director of Hoa Vang District Medical Center would like to thank the leaders of UD, Japan Center-UD for their enthusiastic support and connection with Japanese businesses (as the partner signing MOU with UD since October 2020) so that the health sector of Hoa Vang could have more valuable resources, increase the facilities to serve the community in the context of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.

On this occasion of Vietnam Physicians’ Day February 27, Vice President of UD Le Quang Son sent his best wishes to the physicians, doctors, nurses, and health workers in Hoa Vang in particular, Da Nang city in general.

This was an aid package with a total value of 1.1 billion VND, sponsored by Japanese partners for Hoa Vang District Medical Center to provide water disinfection equipment, creating a water source with high antiseptic properties for washing hands, hygiene, prevention of COVID-19 pandemic and infectious diseases for medical staff and patients at Hoa Vang Hospital.

Recently, as a connection role, Japan Center in particular, UD in general has been very active in coordinating with stakeholders to implement the process of receiving aid from the approval process to receive aid of the People's Committee of Da Nang city, customs procedures, importing goods to the transportation, installing and using for the right purpose, contributing to the healthcare and protection of the local healthcare sector.
