The University of Danang promotes cooperation with University of Bristol, the UK

In the afternoon of November 27, 2019, the delegation of University of Bristol (UoB), the UK led by Mrs. Caroline Baylon – Director of International visited and worked at the University of Danang (UD). Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD, chaired the meeting and worked with the delegation.

Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD has introduced brief information about UD as a multidisciplinary regional university providing training at multi-level, one of three prestigious training and research centers nationally and internationally. UD always attaches great importance to and develops extensive cooperation in many fields with universities around the world, including universities and partners from the United Kingdom. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son also expressed the pleasure to welcome the delegation of UoB to visit and sign a cooperation agreement with UD.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Caroline Baylon - Director International of University of Bristol expressed her pleasure to visit UD and thank to UD's leadership for giving respect to the delegation. She shared the strategic orientation of the University, which has been focusing on strengthening cooperation with Vietnamese universities, including UD - one of the leading prestigious universities. Mrs. Caroline Baylon believed that this cooperation agreement would bring more and more opportunities to promote cooperation between the two universities.

UD and UoB signed Memorandum of Understanding for the further cooperation

The two sides shared and exchanged views on the strengths and needs of each side, especially the experience of cooperation and participation in research projects funded by the British Government as well as the European Community. The leaders of UD and UoB signed the official cooperation agreement to establish a comprehensive cooperation relationship on training, scientific research and international cooperation with the following key contents: (1) Exchange staff and lecturers; (2) Exchange student  (3) Collaborate on joint research projects; (4) Coordinate on the organization of conferences, seminars, short-term training courses and other academic thematic events

Founded in 1876, the University of Bristol, UK currently has a training scale of about 23,000 students from more than 150 countries with more than 200 training programs in many fields: Arts, Biomedical Sciences, Technical Science, Social and Legal Sciences, Health Sciences. The University has 13 professors and scientists who have won the Nobel Prizes. At QS World University Rankings 2019, UoB is ranked 49th in the world and 9th in the United Kingdom. According to High Fliers Research 2019, UoB is the 2nd most targeted university by employers in the UK.
