The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE) organized a conference to announce "Da Nang Economic Annual Report 2022 and the growth scenarios set for the next phase".

Attending the Conference were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Member of the city Party Committee & President of The University of Danang (UD); Prof.Dr. Truong Ba Thanh - Chairman of the Economic Science Association of Da Nang city; Mr. Bui Van Tieng - Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City; Dr. To Van Hung - Member of Party Committee & Secretary of Hoa Vang District Party Committee; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee & Chairman of the Council of UD-DUE; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector in charge of UD-DUE.

Also attending were representatives of relevant departments, branches, agencies and organizations of Da Nang city; scientists, experts and leadership representatives in the Board of Rectors and Council of UD-DUE, departments, faculties and centers under the UD-DUE.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector in charge of UD-DUE said that "Da Nang Economic Annual Report 2022 and the growth scenarios set for the next phase" was the product of a group of authors, who are scientists and experts of UD-DUE, in the spirit of transparency, objectivity and constructive cooperation, reflecting the practice and aspiration of the intellectual team and the community for the Da Nang city of dynamism, creativity and development.

Experts made reports, presentations and discussion at the conference with the topics: "Vietnam's economic prospects and driving forces for economic recovery" (Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, Chairman & General Director of FiinGroup Joint Stock Company); "Da Nang city Tourism: Current status and development policy recommendations" (Dr. Cao Tri Dung – UD-DUE, Chairman of Da Nang city Tourism Association) and presentation of "Economy of Da Nang city: The growth scenarios set for the next phase" (Assoc.Prof.Dr. Truong Hong Trinh – UD-DUE).

Delegates spoke and discussed at the Conference

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Truong Hong Trinh who proposed 03 scenarios at the Conference, as follows: (1) "Slow growth and recovery": Based on the average growth rate of capital services and labor services in the period 2015-2020; (2) “Rapid growth and recovery”: Based on the average growth rate of capital services and labor services in the period 2010-2020; (3) "Expected growth and recovery": The adjusted scenario is based on the  contribution of capital services and labor services and the overall development planning of Da Nang city's sectors.
