On the morning of October 30, 2024, The University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) held the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnamese Language Preparatory Program for Laotian students under the Agreement in 2024.

Attending the event were Ms. Lienseng Phengsavath - First Secretary, Department of Education and Culture, Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) in Da Nang city; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Huu Phuc - Rector, Vice Rectors and representatives of departments, faculties and Laotian students.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Huu Phuc - Rector of UD-UFLS, the Vietnamese Language Preparatory Program for Laotian students this time was meaningful in the atmosphere of celebrating the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Danang (UD), towards the 40^th anniversary of the establishment and development of UD-UFLS.

Welcoming and thanking Laotian students for choosing UD-UFLS as their destination on their journey to acquire knowledge, the university's Rector said that the presence of students from foreign countries, especially Laos, demonstrates the university effort to reach regional and international levels; hoping that the university's students will be ambassadors contributing to connecting the bridge of friendship and cultural and linguistic exchange between Vietnam and friends around the world.

The university will always create favorable conditions and accompany international students to strive to realize their dreams and ambitions, nurture their passion, creativity and compassion, and aim to become global citizens.

Student Sucbandit Phanthongchan, representative of Laotian students participating in the program, expressed his joy and gratitude for the attention and support of all levels, agencies and lecturers of UD-UFLS for creating opportunities for international students to learn Vietnamese; learn about the beauty of Vietnamese culture and people; promised to strive to complete the study program with good results, as a premise to continue the journey of acquiring knowledge, and later return to serve the country and homeland.

Contributing to fostering the special friendship

and educational cooperation between Vietnam and Laos

This time, the university has 11 international students studying for a Master's degree, 08 international students studying for a bachelor's degree under the Agreement and 01 Laotian student receiving a scholarship from Da Nang city.
