On August 20, The University of Danang- University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) worked with the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City to organize an online Scholarship Awards Ceremony for 20 students majoring in the Thai language (5 million VND each scholarship) with a total amount of 100 million VND.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Apirat Sugondhabhirom – the Consul General of Thailand to Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Natthapol Na Songkhka - Deputy Consul General, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Huu Phuc - Rector of UD-UFLS, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha - Vice Rector of UD-UFLS. Also attending the ceremony were representatives of offices and faculties of UD-UFLS.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Huu Phuc - Rector of UD-UFLS sincerely thanked the attention, practical and meaningful support of the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City for students majoring in Thai language in particular, education and training career of UD-UFLS in general.

On this occasion, Rector Tran Huu Phuc expressed his wish that the Consulate General and Thai partners would continue to accompany, support and cooperate with UD-UFLS in the fields of Thai language training, scientific research, cultural and educational exchange, in order to contribute to promoting the good cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Thailand.

At the ceremony, Mr. Apirat Sugondhabhirom - Consul General of Thailand to Ho Chi Minh City delivered a speech highlighting the meaning of awarding scholarships to students majoring in Thai language of UD-UFLS with excellent academic achievements in order to encourage and support them to continue to excel in learning, training and actively contributing to the community.

The Consul General also shared the Consulate General's connection activities with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), thereby donating equipment and academic materials for the UD-UFLS, at the same time, continuing to coordinate and organize exchange programs, language and cultural exchange between students of the two countries.

The representative of the Consulate General expressed the wish and belief that UD-UFLS would continue to strengthen cooperation with Thai universities in training and testing activities, , exchange of lecturers and students, and many more useful activities to support students.

The representative of the Department of Student Affairs expressed sincere thanks for the valuable attention and support of the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City for the students of UD-UFLS.

UD-UFLS would award scholarships directly to students in the shortest possible time, promptly encourage them to continue their efforts to overcome difficulties to study and practice to achieve good results, actively contribute to strengthening  the Vietnam-Thailand friendship relations and cooperation.
