Over the years, with nearly 50 years of tradition in training various fields of engineering and technology, the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) has increasingly promoted its strengths and potential, becoming one of the leading institutions in the national higher education system in terms of ensuring and accrediting international education quality.

UD-DUT received the European HCERES certification.

Regarding institutional accreditation, according to Vietnam Education Quality Management Agency, of the Ministry of Education and Training, as of July 31, 2024, UD-DUT is among the group of 11 higher education institutions in Vietnam that have undergone quality accreditation and been recognized as meeting international education standards. The university is also one of 7 schools specialising in technical disciplines, including: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology - Ho Chi Minh City National University, UD-DUT, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, University of Science - Hanoi National University, University of Science and Technology Hanoi, and Ton Duc Thang University.

Top 11 Vietnamese higher education institutions with quality accreditation meeting foreign standards

A standout achievement for UD-DUT is in the top 4 first universities in the country since 2017 that has pioneered accreditation, achieved the International Standards of HCERES Organization for the period 2017-2023 and continues to accredit (cycle 2) for the period 2024-2029.

HCERES is a reputable accreditation organization recognized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

Regarding the accreditation of training programs, according to the Vietnam Education Quality Management Agency, of the Ministry of Education and Training, as of July 31, 2024, UD-DUT ranks among the top 3 out of 63 higher education institutions in Vietnam for the number of internationally accredited programs (AUN-QA from Southeast Asia, CTI and ASIIN from Europe). The university has 38 out of 69 programs (both undergraduate and postgraduate) accredited by prestigious international standards, accounting for 6.99% of the total 544 nationally accredited programs that have met international standards.

UD-DUT is in the top 3 educational institutions with the highest number of training programs accredited according to foreign standards.
