Recently, the delegation led by Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap - Rector of the University of Danang – Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) visited and worked with the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. Mr. Park Noh-wan - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea in Vietnam chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Park Noh-wan warmly welcomed the delegation and highly appreciated the prestige of UD-VKU with its mission of high-quality human resources training in the fields of Information Technology and Communication and Digital Technology.

The Ambassador Park Noh-wan shared that the UD-VKU’s training programs were completely meet the needs of Korean enterprises, the regional and international labor markets. The training quality of universities in general and UD-VKU in particular had a great significance in accelerating the process of digital transformation and developing a prospective and dynamic digital economy in Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap introduced briefly the outstanding and comprehensive results of UD-VKU in enrollment, training, scientific research, innovation and start-up.

UD-VKU was also proactive in adapting flexibly and safely to overcome difficulties in the Covid-19 pandemic, thereby continuing to affirm its prestige and make positive contributions to the development of UD – one of the three national key universities invested by the Vietnamese Government (together with Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) to become key universities, pioneering integration in the country's higher education system.

At the meeting, Rector Huynh Cong Phap also shared the Korean Government's ODA project sponsored for UD-VKU in the new development period with a total budget of 7.7 million USD, hereby he also gave sincerely thanks to the Korean Embassy in Vietnam in general and Mr. Park Noh-wan in particular for supporting UD-VKU to carry out this project.

In 2022, “UD-VKU will continue promoting the cooperation relationship with Korean partners to organize the School-Enterprises Cooperation Forum as well as implement the project on "Vietnam-Korea Cultural Park at VKU" with the aim of celebrating the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea” shared Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Park Noh-wan affirmed that the Korean Embassy and Korean Government will continue supporting and creating the most favorable condition for UD-VKU to develop the advanced university governance model, facilities investment and high-quality training programs in order to meet the social needs as well as promote the cooperation relationship with prestigious enterprises in Korea and Vietnam to effectively use human resources, promote innovation and entrepreneurship in key disciplinaries of UD-VKU.
