The University of Danang, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) held the Opening Ceremony of the school year 2021-2022. Attending the ceremony, there were also senior representatives of UD’s member universities and affiliated units, high schools in the central region (Da Nang, Quang Nam, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh), partners, enterprises; leaders of UD-VKU’s Party Committee, the school Council and a large number of cadres, lecturers and more than 4.000 students, including more than 1.300 new students in the school year 2021-2022.

On this occasion, Rector Huynh Cong Phap warmly welcomed the delegates and students to attend the opening ceremony as well as gave his special thanks to not only the support of UD’s senior leader, partners, enterprises, universities and high schools but also the innovative efforts of UD-VKU’s staff, lecturers and students in the recent year.

Moreover, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap also emphasized that in the academic year 2021-2022, UD-VKU would continue to improve the quality of training and scientific research; bring a comfortable and friendly learning environment to student as well as implement many policies to support learners and the community to adapt and overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.

UD-VKU had enrolled more than 1,.300 new students (the total number of registered applications is 10.000) with the guaranteed input quality (more than 50% matriculated candidates had 24 points or higher), whereby increasing the training scale of UD-VKU into more than 4.000 students.

“This result not only shows the trust and choice of candidates and the community; affirming the prestige and branding of UD-VKU but also would be an important premise to improve the human resource training quality, adapting social trends and needs” shared Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap.

In addition, the Korea International Cooperation Agency had just announced that the Korean Government would sponsor and implement the ODA Project (7.7 million USD) to continue developing UD-VKU according to the strategy to 2026, striving to become a leading public university in Vietnam in the fields of Information Technology, Communication and Digital Economy, reaching an international level with the "smart campus" model.
