On February 10, 2022, with the consent of Danang People's Committee and Quang Tri People's Committee, Danang Department of Foreign Affairs and Danang International Cooperation Development Centre and the University of Danang (UD) organized a thoughtful welcome to the delegation of 69 Lao international students from Lao Bao border gate (Quang Tri) back to the school for face-to-face learning.

In this delegation, there were 10 students from Bolykhamxay province, 11 students from Attapeu province, 12 students from Savannakhet province, 12 students from Sekong province, 15 students from Salavan province and 09 students from Champasak one.

All students were picked up by a shuttle bus from Lao Bao International Border Gate (Quang Tri) to the dormitory of UD - University of Science and Education. All students were instructed to fully comply with entry procedures and regulations on Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control of the authorities.

In the academic year 2021-2022, UD had recruited and received 115 Lao students, including 01 doctoral students, 20 master students, 44 undergraduates (full-time) and 70 Lao students studying the Vietnamese Language Preparation Program from six provinces in Laos, including Bolykhamxay, Sekong, Champasak, Salavane, Savannakhet and Attapeu.

The President of the Lao PDR had also awarded 02 Third-class Labor Medals to UD and UD - University of Sicence and Education for their achievements and important contributions to the career of human resource training for localities in Laos, contributing to the development of educational cooperation and cultivating the special traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
