On 20/12/2023, Jesco Asia Company (Japan) coordinated with the University of Danang (UD) to organize a scholarship award ceremony for 20 students with a total amount of 100 million VND.

There was the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the UD, Mr. Matsumoto Toshihiro – Chairman of Jesco Holdings, Mr. Kashima Hideyasu – General Director of Jesco Asia Company.

Also attending were staff member of Jesco Asia, leader representatives of the UD’s functional departments (Science and International Cooperation, Student Affairs), Japan Center and 20 scholarship recipients.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son recognized and appreciated the significance of Jesco Asia scholarship as a valuable source of encouragement to help the UD’s students to overcome difficulties and strive in learning.

Vice President Le Quang Son thanked the leaders of Jesco Holdings and Jesco Asia for always paying attention to the UD’s students over the past many years. This is the 7th consecutive year the UD’s students have received scholarships from Jesco Asia.

The UD hoped that the cooperation relationship with Jesco will grow stronger.

Speaking to congratulate the scholarship recipients this year, General Director of Jesco Asia Company Kashima Hideyasu conveyed his hope that the UD’s students will continue to make efforts and strive to improve professional knowledge and skills to meet future career requirements.

Representing for the students receiving scholarships, Tran Nguyen Thu Trang (4th year student of University of Science and Technology – UD) expressed her gratitude and respectfully thanked Jesco Asia as well as the UD for giving meaningful scholarships.

Among the 20 students receiving Jesco Asia scholarship in 2023, there were 9 ones from University of Science and Technology, 6 from University of Technology and Education, 5 from UD Campus in Kon Tum.
