On August 19, 2026, the University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE) held a working session and signed a cooperation agreement with Chengdu Minto Technology Co., Ltd. (China), focusing on strengthening collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and the application of emerging technological solutions to support university management and enhance the quality of education and training.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice President of UD-DUE, the cooperation marks a new milestone in the University’s efforts to expand partnerships with international enterprises. It aims not only to develop an ecosystem connecting education, research, and the application of emerging technologies, but also to create an environment that supports lecturers and students in developing digital competencies and applying AI.

Mr. Qiu Hong, International Business Director of Chengdu Minto Technology Co., Ltd., highly appreciated the role and reputation of UD-DUE and expressed the company’s desire to establish a long-term partnership with the University. The cooperation is expected to provide lecturers and students with opportunities to access new technologies through practical projects, while enabling the company to develop a pool of young talent and promote innovation in collaboration with the University.

Under the signed cooperation agreement, the two sides agreed to focus on a number of key areas, including jointly implementing AI human resource training programs; applying AI to develop smart classrooms and digital spaces and to build AI application scenarios at the University; promoting the transfer and commercialization of research outcomes and AI applications associated with different disciplines and sectors; and providing training to enhance students’ digital competencies.

The two sides will also explore opportunities for market development and establish sustainable development pathways from education and practical training to industrial development.

A key highlight of the cooperation is the joint study and promotion of the establishment of a Joint Laboratory for AI Applications, which will serve as a foundation for strengthening university - enterprise collaboration in line with the two sides’ shared strategic orientations.

On this occasion, UD-DUE and Chengdu Minto Technology Co., Ltd. jointly organized a workshop on AI Applications for Students, featuring presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions by international speakers and experts on AI and emerging technologies in the context of globalization.
