On April 14, 2026, The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with City St George’s, University of London, in a move aimed at expanding academic cooperation, student and faculty exchanges, and joint research.

Professor Sionade Robinson, Vice-President of City St George’s, said the two institutions share strong potential for collaboration in academic program development and exchange activities involving lecturers and students, particularly through joint research groups.

Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh, Vice-Rector of UD-DUE, described the partnership as a new milestone in the university’s efforts to internationalize its higher education programs, citing the London institution’s global standing.

University officials said the cooperation is expected to create more opportunities for international exchange while supporting joint training and research initiatives designed to deliver long-term benefits to both sides.

Under the memorandum, the two universities will explore cooperation in undergraduate and postgraduate education, internship exchange programs, and academic mobility for faculty and students. The partnership also includes plans to pilot a certificate program in Green Finance; facilitate visits by university leaders, scientists, and experts; co-organize events and seminars; share information and publications; and seek funding for international projects.

A major focus of the partnership is the proposed Green Finance program, which the two sides see as aligned with global economic and educational trends. The initiative is expected to strengthen professional knowledge and career readiness while helping learners connect more effectively with global production networks and value chains, particularly as Vietnam and other countries push for a greener economy.
