On Jan. 20, 2026, the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Incheon National University (INU) of the Republic of Korea, establishing a framework for expanded academic and research cooperation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tien Dung, Vice Rector of UD-DUT, said the agreement marks a new milestone in the university’s internationalisation efforts and provides a formal foundation for joint initiatives in the period ahead.

Highlighting INU’s academic standing, UD-DUT’s leadership expressed confidence that the partnership, built on close and trust-based collaboration, will translate commitments into concrete outcomes. These include strengthening professional capacity and promoting academic exchange among staff, faculty, and students at both institutions.

Representatives from INU, including Prof. Choi Byoung Gil, Prof. Kang Sang Hyeok, Prof. Ahn Jung Kyu, Prof. Sim Hyoung Bo, and Associate Professors Jang Dong Woo, Woo Sang Inn, and Lee Seung Jung, noted that the two universities have complementary strengths in civil engineering, environmental studies, and water resources development. They emphasised that the cooperation will help mobilise expertise and resources for joint research and for applying new technologies in line with sustainable development goals.

Under the MoU, both sides will prioritise student exchanges through the HydroAsia Programme, postgraduate scholarships in the Republic of Korea, and joint research in areas where both institutions have established strengths.

At the signing ceremony, the INU delegation also presented an overview of its education and research capabilities, along with scholarship opportunities available to UD-DUT students.
