On August 28, 2026, a working session and cooperation agreement signing ceremony took place between School of Medicine and Pharmacy (SMP) - The University of Danang (UD) and Centro Escolar University, Philippines.

According to Dr. Hoang Huu Khoi - Vice Rector of UD-SMP, both parties possess the potential and strengths to share experiences and foster cooperation in education and science within the fields of medicine and pharmacy.

According to Dr. Elena Borromeo - Director of the Optometry Program at Centro Escolar University (Philippines), the partner highly values ​​the opportunity for collaboration - particularly the focus on in-depth academic exchange regarding the optometry programs offered and researched by both institutions - to meet societal needs.

During the working session, representatives from departments and disciplines, such as: Ophthalmology, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Nursing at UD-SMP and Centro Escolar University proposed specific and substantive ideas and directions for future cooperation.

On this occasion, the leadership of both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand opportunities for faculty and student exchanges, collaborative study and research, and the sharing of academic knowledge amidst the trend of higher education integration within the ASEAN region.
