UD-UED celebrates Graduation of the 2025-2026 Vietnamese Language and Culture Program for Foreigners

On July 2, 2026, The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) held a closing and graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 "Vietnamese Language and Culture for Foreigners" program, honoring international students from China and Russia.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Rector of the University, with its strong expertise and extensive experience in training and researching social sciences, humanities, languages, and Vietnamese culture, UD-UED has always placed a high priority on expanding partnerships to promote international student exchange programs.

A representative from the university's leadership shared that this graduation cohort included 24 international students who enrolled in the "Vietnamese Language and Culture for Foreigners" program. Comprising 22 modules and running since September 2025, the program has successfully completed its curriculum, fully meeting the requirements to enhance the students' cultural understanding as well as their proficiency in both conversational and academic Vietnamese.

Acknowledging and highly praising the dedication of the international students alongside the profound commitment and guidance of the faculty, the leadership of UD-UED expressed their earnest hope that the graduates will continuously refine and apply their acquired knowledge in practice and on their broader academic journeys. Furthermore, they are expected to serve as vital bridges promoting friendly cooperation and mutual understanding between Vietnam and their respective home countries.

According to the university’s report, during their course of study, the international students engaged with a comprehensive curriculum featuring advanced modules such as Advanced Vietnamese, Advanced Vietnamese Writing, Practical Vietnamese Grammar, Vietnamese History and Culture, Vietnamese for Tourism, and Vietnamese for Economics.

Additionally, the program incorporated specialized supplementary modules designed to enhance reading proficiency through Vietnamese literature, newspapers, and television broadcasts. Coupled with immersive cultural exchanges, regional excursions, and community integration activities, these components provided a dynamic environment that fostered continuous linguistic progress. As a result of their academic dedication, the university officially recognized and commended 04 students with High Distinction, 12 with Distinction, and 08 with Merit.

Expressing their deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to the university and their beloved teachers, the international student representatives shared memorable milestones and cherished memories from their valuable time studying the Vietnamese language and experiencing its culture. They also expressed an eager desire for future opportunities to further enhance their competencies and academic expertise in relevant fields, enabling them to effectively serve their homelands in the future.
