Recently, a delegation from the The University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies  (UD - UFLS), led by its Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Long, attended the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2025) from August 31 to September 5, 2025.

At a series of events gathering leaders, scholars, and experts from various fields in the Russian Federation and countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Vietnam, UD-UFLS actively participated in activities such as the APEC CCHE - 2025 Workshop with the theme "Education for Sustainable Development," sharing visions and initiatives to promote the development of networks among universities in the region with the mission of training high-quality human resources, fostering research, academic exchange, and cultural collaboration.

A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the leaders of UD - UFLS and the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). The agreement focuses on several key areas: Joint training for the undergraduate International Relations program; Recruitment of students for the postgraduate (Master's level) International Relations program; The establishment of a Russia-Asia Faculty at FEFU, with a planned start date for training in the 2026-2027 academic year.

Vietnamese students will have the opportunity to study for their first two years in Vietnam before transferring to partner universities that have established a Russia-Asia Faculty. Upon graduation, they will be awarded a dual degree.

According to representatives of the university leadership, this marks a new milestone, opening opportunities to leverage the potential and strengths of both parties to build internationally standardized training programs, providing faculty and students with access to high-quality education and research.

This initiative also represents a significant step forward in strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation through education, fostering friendship among staff, faculty, and students from both nations.
