On August 6, 2025, University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS) - The University of Danang (UD) officially launched Da Nang - Incheon 2025 Cultural and Educational Exchange Festival, drawing nearly 500 participants, including students, teachers, and delegates from high schools and universities in Da Nang (Vietnam) and Incheon (South Korea).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of UFLS -UD, stated the festival is a cultural exchange event that contributes to strengthening friendship, people-to-people diplomacy, and connection between the two cities; creating opportunities for students and young people to exchange, understand, explore and experience culture and language.

Mr. Kim Joo Yong, Head of Department of Multilingual Education, East Asia International Education Institute, Incheon City Department of Education, shared: “We have come from Incheon with the hope of engaging with students studying Korean, as well as experiencing and spreading the beauty of Korean culture here in Da Nang. I hope that today’s program is not only an opportunity for communication or cultural experience, but also a chance for Vietnamese and Korean students to truly understand one another.”

The festival featured a diverse array of activities, including both traditional and modern art performances, lively K-pop competitions, cultural experience zones for both countries, lucky draws, and awards for outstanding individuals and groups. All these elements contributed to a vibrant festival day, rich in identity and international integration.

More than just a cultural event, the festival provided a platform for the young generations of both countries to connect, foster mutual understanding and nurture educational values, thereby deepening the cooperative relationship between Da Nang and Incheon in particular, and between Vietnam and South Korea in general.
