On July 25, 2025, the Scientific Session of the 2nd International Conference on Health Science and Technology (ICHST - 2025) took place at VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education  - UD.

Attending the event were Dr. Phan Minh Duc – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council-UD; Dr. Le Viet Nho - Rector of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy-UD; Dr. Nguyen Hiep - Director of VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education - UD; along with renowned scientists from prestigious universities worldwide, such as Prof. Samir Mitragotri - Harvard University; Prof. Kam W. Leong - Columbia University; Prof. Thanh Nguyen - University of Connecticut; Prof. Vladislav Yakovlev - Texas A&M University (all from the USA); Dr. Minh Le - National University of Singapore, among others.

Also in attendance were representatives from the Departments/Offices of UD (including Science and International Cooperation, Student Affairs, Enterprise Relations and Communications), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Giang Thi Kim Lien – Deputy Director of UD-VNUK, Vice Rectors of UD-SMP: Dr. Le Viet Nhiem and M.Sc. Le Kim Trong, along with scientists, research groups, lecturers, postgraduate student, and PhD candidates from relevant faculties and disciplines.

According to Dr. Nguyen Hiep, Director of UD-VNUK, this is a scientific event within the framework of the ICHST – 2025 Conference, co-hosted by UD in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the University of Connecticut (USA), and the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Global (AVSE Global).

UD-VNUK and UD-SMP had the honor of hosting the Scientific Session. This session brought together scientists and experts from universities, organizations, and businesses in fields such as Health Science and Technology, Biomedical Science, Data Science, Medical Technology and devices. These are all areas where UD-VNUK and UD-SMP have strong potential for training programs.

At the Scientific Session, there were presentations on topics of scientific and practical significance, including:

1. Biomaterials and Drug Delivery, Co-chaired by Prof. Vladislav Yakovlev from Texas A&M University (USA) and Dr. Dang Duc Long from VNUK Institute-UD;

2. Biological and Medical Science, Co-chaired by Dr. Minh Le from the National University of Singapore and Dr. Tran Van Khue from VNUK Institute- UD.

A key highlight was the presentation of 03 papers by research groups and lecturers from UD-VNUK,along with 02 papers by scientists and experts from UD-SMP who participated in the conference.

According to a representative from UD-SMP , ICHST - 2025 marks a significant milestone in connecting the international research network. It aims to bring knowledge, technology, and applied products to serve the needs and benefits of public health. This conference also provides a valuable opportunity for the university's scientists, lecturers, and students to access new trends in the field of Health Science and Technology as well as the healthcare industry.
