On 27 November, 2025, the University of Danang (UD)’s delegation attended the 5th Plenary Session of the SOHO Project (Smart, Optimized, High-quality, and On-demand Tourism Innovative Education for Sustainable and Green Development - SOHO). 

SOHO project is an international project which UD and UTE were active participating members together with 03 European universities: Universite Lumiere Lyon 2 (France), Politecnico di Milano (Italia), National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (Romania) and 04 Asian universities: Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman(Malaysia), Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia), American International University Bangladesh, Jahangirnagar University (Bangladesh).

At the meeting, representatives of UD: 

- Reported an overview of the project progress, evaluated the results achieved, discussed the work packages to be implemented in the next phase; 

- Presented the orientations for training program development; the possibility of integrating content and modules related to the SOHO project into the training program' 

- Shared some case study models on technological innovation to promote sustainable development in the tourism sector from European partners.

In addition, representatives of UD also participated in the Workshop with guest speakers from the “Association for the Development of Bicycle Routes and Greenways of France”. 

The fact that UD has just been officially ranked in THE World University Rankings further affirms the importance of actively participating in international projects such as SOHO. 

This is not only an opportunity to improve the quality of education, update and improve training program in a modern and sustainable direction, but also contributes to expanding international cooperation, consolidating key indicators in the assessment of global university rankings.
