Recently, the Vietnam Association for Fluid Mechanics and University of Science and Technology (DUT) – The University of Danang (UD) have co-organized the 24th National Conference on Fluid Mechanics (VCFM24) 2021 which brought together more than 100 participants who are researchers, lecturers, doctoral candidates, postgraduate students from universities, research institutes throughout the country.

This year’s conference was conducted virtually via the Zoom platform with 3 participating points (Ha Noi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City) under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Huan – Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Fluid Mechanics and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh – Rector of DUT–UD.

The conference attracted many researchers, lecturers throughout the country. 

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh shared the highlights in science - technology activities of DUT-UD in general, the research, application and transfer in the fields of fluid mechanics in particular. At the VCFM24, a number of staff members of DUT-UD have actively submitted many high-quality scientific articles and publications.

For his part, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Huan said that VCFM is an annual event among the Association’s academic activities to create a forum for discussion, exchange and publication of new research results in the fields of fluid mechanics for members, scientists and experts both at home and abroad.

The conference consisted of 9 sessions with 77 articles and reports related to topics of high scientific and practical significance such as: Environmental fluid mechanics; Fluid mechanics with climate change and new energy; River-sea dynamics; Computational fluid dynamics… The scientific articles will be reviewed and selected for the conference’s proceedings.
