The University of Danang implements many timely support policies for students at the beginning of the new school year
In the middle of August 2020, the member universities of the University of Danang (UD) have implemented the 2020 - 2021 new school year plan which promptly issued many practical support policies for current students, new students in the context of the impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, President of the UD, honored the valedictorian in 2019 admission intake.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Trang, Rector of University of Science and Education - UD, said in order to encourage and lure good candidates to apply for admission in 2020, the University decided to introduce the 2 billion VND-worth scholarship package “Living expenses support” which will be awarded to 600 admitted candidates who achieve good results of high school's academic records or the national high school graduation examination.
Additionally, candidates also have opportunities to receive other scholarships from the University such as: encouragement scholarship of about 5 million VND/semester, AMA scholarships exclusively for pedagogical students, free foreign languages courses (English, Japanese etc.) and many other off-budget scholarships.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of University of Foreign Languages Studies – UD, has just sent the new school year message to all lecturers and students including new ones of 2020 intake. According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phuc, in the complicated context of Covid-19, the University could not run with full activities to welcome new students. However, the University is ready for necessary and sufficient conditions which help ensure all training requirements by the integration of IT application with modern, professional online training system.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Cao Tho, Rector of University of Technology and Education – UD, said that every year, the University always sets aside a fixed budget (about more than 2 billion VND) to grant “study encouragement scholarships” to students who have good academic performance. Besides, the University has a well-known scholarship “UTE Challenge” (20 million VND/slot) to honor outstanding students with excellent achievements in learning, scientific research and active participation in community works.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tho also shared that students of his University regularly receive many scholarships from partner businesses, organizations and alumni with a total value of hundreds of million VND per year, thereby helping students overcome difficulties in learning as well as sharing hardship with students in the context of the impact of Covid-19.

The Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) – UD this year spends more than 2 billion VND to provide scholarships to students and implements many support and incentive policies for newly-admitted students.
The VKU offers many scholarships and preferential policies for students.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of the VKU, shared that the University continues to implement preferential programs to overwhelmingly support its students, which is based on general regulations as well as the VKU’s own resources.
