Mr. Nguyen Phan Hoang Vu, a former student of the course 39K, Faculty of Economics - University of Economics – the University of Danang (UD-DUE), has become a General Director of VSK Vietnam Energy Joint Stock Company. This is an enterprise specializing in renewable energy and solar power. Currently, the company is an official distributor of AE Solar-the leading German manufacturer of battery systems using prestigious solar energy in the world.

            When being a student of Class 39K04, majoring in Development Economics, Mr. Nguyen Phan Hoang Vu nurtured his dream of starting a business to apply knowledge from lecture halls into reality.

            Recalling his days as a DUE’s student, he shared that DUE had a dynamic learning environment with many lecturers graduated from international prestigious universities. DUE’s lecturers always inspired students to develop themselves not only in lecture hall but also through many extracurricular activities, academic clubs or Youth Union movements and Students Association.

            “Before starting a business, I also applied for a job and went through a journey of learning and experiencing from a lot of enterprises. To create a belief and persuade employers, besides the knowledge and skills getting from the university, the accumulated knowledge and experience from internship activities in companies, clubs, academic playgrounds helped me a lot in the process of interview as well as working at companies later on”.

            “Lecturers of Faculty of Economics in particular and DUE in general have helped me a lot in my studying and encouraged me to bravely overcome challenges in my life ... Up to now, I still keep in touch with several DUE's lecturers to share and receive valuable advices when facing difficulties, becoming a driving force to step firmly on the journey of starting a business " said Mr. Nguyen Phan Hoang Vu.

            The key to start a business for youth is passion and creativity. In the business sector, developing renewable energy is a new field, facing many challenges and competition.

            Thanks to the relentless efforts, his company has successfully implemented hundreds of projects from small-scale households to solar power farms with a capacity of less than 1MW.

            After two years, VSK Vietnam has formed a nationwide distribution network with more than 15 branches in many provinces such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam ...

            With the foscus on customers insight relating to efficiency and usability from the most suitable energy products and solutions, VSK Vietnam always makes creative efforts to bring maximum difference and individualization according to customers’ needs to get the best value and commitment from the company.

Contributing efforts to serve the community

Alumni Nguyen Phan Hoang Vu, General Director of VSK Vietnam would like to remind UD’s students that students had to prepare their knowledge well and try to join more in extra activities besides the time at school. Especially, students should also work part-time job to accumulate experiences as well as cover their life. With all the above-mentioned efforts, they would definitely find joy and valuable experiences to realize their startup dreams in the near future.
