Blockchain technology application development contributes to accelerating the national digital transformation process

On July 20, Software Development Center (SDC) under the University of Danang (UD) signed a cooperation agreement with Vicoland Group to establish the Danang Fintech and Blockchain Academy and Research (DFAR).

At the same time, SDC signed a cooperation agreement to implement the Asia Blockchain Solution Center (ABSC) with 4 partners: SRI Capital Investment Fund (Singapore), DNR Holdings (Thailand), 1WorldBlockchain (Dubai) and Vicoland Group (Vietnam). The signing ceremony was held online with the presence of leader representatives of relevant parties.

According to Vice Chairman of Vicoland Group Tran Xuan Hien, blockchain is a computing technology that supports totally safe data storage and service which is easy to be verified and retrieved without intermediaries.

Blockchain technology is widely applied in many fields such as: finance and banking, industrial production, energy, healthcare, retail, media, entertainment, etc. Additionally, blockchain can be also applied in public service management such as financial record storage, real estate, corporate governance, electronic ID authentication, press and media, etc.

SDC is always pioneering in technology.

In the context that Danang is implementing many projects towards becoming an innovation and start-up center, a smart city, an international financial center, the establishment of DFAR and ABSC will create a solid foundation for the application of advanced technology to benefit the community, said Dr. Trinh Cong Duy - Director of SDC.

The cooperation among SDC and prestigious technology corporations in blockchain application not only demonstrates pioneering efforts in digital transformation, but also contributes to affirming the prestige and quality of the UD.
