Delegation of lecturers and students from Maha Sarakham University (Thailand) engaged in an academic exchange at UD-UED

From December 1 to 4, 2025, a delegation of faculty and students from Maha Sarakham University (Thailand) visited the University of Danang – University of Science and Education (UD - UED) for a study and exchange program. The group comprised 03 lecturers and 32 students majoring in Tourism and Travel Management, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paranee Boonchai, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Rector of UD - UED, the event presents an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen international cooperation in training and research.

Introducing UD - UED to the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu emphasized that the university prioritizes expanding partnerships with regional universities - particularly in Thailand - to provide students and faculty with a multicultural learning environment, while enhancing professional competencies and foreign language skills.

The Vice Rector expressed hope that this exchange will pave the way for deeper collaboration, moving toward formal agreements on student and faculty exchanges and the development of joint training programs in the near future.

As scheduled, the delegation will participate in academic and experiential activities, including: a thematic overview of Vietnam’s tourism; English-language discussions on community-based tourism and sustainable tourism; a Central Vietnam heritage tour; and comparative perspectives on tourism in Vietnam and Thailand. The itinerary also includes visits to prominent destinations such as Hoi An Ancient Town, Bay Mau Coconut Forest, Ba Na Hills...
