The University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS), in collaboration with the Korean Language Education Center in Ho Chi Minh City, recently organized the first free Korean Language Training Program for residents of Danang City.

Spanning approximately 10 weeks of study starting in July 2026, the program concluded with a closing ceremony on September 4, 2026, successfully awarding certificates to 49 graduating trainees.

According to Dr. Nguyen Huu Binh, Vice Rector of UD-UFLS, to meet the demand for fostering the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea, particularly the growing need for human resources and workforce capable of using Korean in commerce, tourism and daily life, the university and its partner designed the program across Beginner 1, Beginner 2, and Intermediate levels.

With a flexible organizational structure and practical, application-oriented content, the program equips learners with linguistic knowledge while deepening their understanding of Korean culture. It serves as a bridge for friendship and cooperation, creating international communication opportunities for the community.

Mr. An Hee Chul, Director of the Korean Language Education Center in Ho Chi Minh City, noted that the enthusiastic response and dedicated learning spirit of the trainees demonstrate that the program not only strengthens bilateral community ties but also contributes practically to developing relations between the two countries in Danang City specifically, the dynamic and high-potential Central region, and nationwide.

By pursuing a strategy of strengthening connections among institutions, organizations, partners, and the community, UD-UFLS reaffirms its role and strengths in spreading knowledge of language, culture, and civilization, while making meaningful contributions to community development and regional and international integration.
