Leaders of The University of Danang welcomed and worked with the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Vietnam

On the afternoon of April 9, 2024, the U.S. Embassy and Consulalte in Vietnam led by Ms. Mary Beth Polley - Counselor for Culture and Education of The U.S. Embassy in Hanoi visited and worked with the University of Danang (UD). Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD chaired and welcomed the delegation.

Also attending were Ms. Tran Nguyen Hanh Nguyen - Foreign Affairs Assistant of the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. George Chiu - Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Assistant Dean of Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships at Purdue University; Representatives of leaders of departments, centers and functional offices of UD and UD’s member universities and affiliated units.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD gave a welcome speech, pleased to welcome the the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Vietnam to visit and work with UD. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son introduced the highlights and overview of UD, including the marks and achievements of international cooperation between UD and universities from the U.S.

 

Ms. Mary Beth Polley - Counselor for Culture and Education of the U.S. Embassy said that the cooperative relationship between universities plays an important role in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, therefore, this is an opportunity and trend to strengthen cooperation between UD and U.S. universities and community colleges in various fields.

On this occasion, the delegation visited the Maker Innovation Space of the UD - VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education.
