Recently, at the Awards Ceremony for organizations and individuals with excellent achievements in science and technology activities in Da Nang city in 2022, many scientists and lecturers from the University of Danang (UD) ) have received the Certificate of Merit from the Da Nang City People's Committee (Decision No. 955/QD-UBND).

Two notable authors, both female lecturers of UD, were awarded Certificates of Merit with a bonus of 22,350,000 VND persolution for having a scientific and technological solution granted a protection title, including:

Author Tran Thi Hong (UD - University of Science and Education) with solutions: “Glass materials mixed with rare earth elements 50TeO₂ – 29B₂O₃ – 10ZnO – 10Na₂O – 1Eu₂O₃  used for red light emitting diodes and production process of this material” (Patent No. 2126); “Glass material mixed with rare earth elements 30TeO₂ – 49B₂O₃ – 10ZnO – 10Na₂O – 1Eu₂O₃  used for red light emitting diodes and production process of this material” (Patent No. 2174); “Glass material mixed with rare earth elements 20TeO₂ – 59B₂O₃ – 10ZnO – 10Na₂O – 1Eu₂O₃  for red light emitting diodes and production process of this material” (Patent No. 2175).

03 authors/author groups of UD out of a total of 07 authors/author groups in the whole city were awarded for having excellent scientific articles published in prestigious scientific journals, including: 02 authors from UD - University of Science and Technology and 01 author from UD - University of Economics.

26 authors/author groups of UD (out of a total of 40 authors/author groups in the whole city) were awarded for having scientific articles published in prestigious scientific journals, including UD - University of Science and Technology has 15 authors; UD - University of Economics has 03 authors; UD - University of Science and Education has 03 authors/groups of authors; UD - University of Foreign Language Studies has 01 author; UD - University of Technology and Education has 02 authors/groups of authors; UD Head Office has 02 authors.

Scientific research associated with intellectual property is the motivation

to contribute to socio-economic development

This is a meaningful annual activity towards the celebration of "the Vietnam Science and Technology Day" on May 18 in order to recognize and motivate Da Nang intellectuals, including scientists, lecturers at UD.

This result clearly shows the prestige, potential and positive contribution of UD to science, technology and innovation activities, which are really becoming the motivation for contributing to the socio-economic development of Da Nang city according to Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW in particular, the Central region and the whole country in general.
