On September 20th 2024, the Da Nang Construction Department held an award ceremony for the Contest “Ideas for flower and lighting decoration, ideas for designing mascots and decorative symbols for 2025 Lunar New Year (Year of Wood Snake)”

This is the 12th year that Da Nang City has organized this contest. The contest aims to select the best design ideas for investment in flower and lighting decoration, mascots and decorative symbols to serve the entertainment needs to the city’s people, as well as domestic and foreign tourists on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, the year of Wood Snake.

The Organization Committee of the contest received 31 entries, including 22 entries for “Ideas for flower decoration and lighting” and 9 entries for “Ideas for mascot design and decorative symbols for Lunar New Year 2025”), with the participation of 116 architecture students from 3 universities in Da Nang and 1 architectural design consulting company.

Speaking at the Program, Director of the Da Nang Construction Department Phung Phu Phong acknowledged and highly appreciated the authors and groups of authors who researched, created and completed ideas according to the content and criteria of the contest.

Through the proactive coordination of universities training in architecture, architects and groups of architecture students participating in the contest, the recent contest achieved good results, with many creative, innovative and breakthrough ideas.

The Organizing Committee hopes that in the following years, the competition will continue to receive more support and active participation from students and architects, with new ideas, creative exploration, to meet the expectations of the people.

In the Final Round, the Board of Judges reviewed, scored and selected 6 options to achieve the stage "Ideas for flower decoration and lighting" and 6 options to win "Ideas for designing mascots and decorative symbols for Lunar New Year 2025".

The Organizing Committee awarded 2 First prizes, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 6 Consolation prizes to the winning authors and groups of authors with a total prize of 88 million VND.
