On October 17, 2025, the University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD – UFLS) held the opening ceremony of the Vietnamese Language Program for Foreigners for the 2025-2026 academic year, welcoming over 20 international students from countries such as Laos, Russia, and South Korea.

Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha, Vice Rector of UD-UFLS highlighted this as a milestone in broadening linguistic and cultural understanding and fostering international friendship; warmly congratulated the international students, expressing their delight in welcoming them to an institution that recently celebrated its 40th anniversary of establishment and development.

During the ceremony, students received souvenirs and were introduced to the university’s highlights and the Vietnamese language program, which serves as a foundation for further specialized training.

Tikhonova Anastasiia, a student from Russia, shared her excitement about learning Vietnamese to explore the depth and richness of Vietnamese culture. She noted that this is an opportunity for each student to experience a new environment, enrich their life skills, and enhance their language proficiency for future studies and careers.

The warm reception from lecturers at UD - UFLS made every student feel as if they were living in a second family. It is hoped that language and culture will be respected and connected here, contributing to the development of international friendship in the context of the internationalization of higher education, as expressed by the student representative.
