From July 27 - 31, 2026, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) held the Opening Ceremony of the International Student Exchange Program in collaboration with Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University.

According to Dr. Phan Duc Tuan, Vice Rector of UD-UED, the University warmly welcomed the delegation of lecturers and students from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University to participate in academic activities and engage in language and cultural exchange.

The University's leadership emphasized that the program reflects the fruitful and dynamic partnership between the two institutions. It provides students with valuable opportunities to strengthen academic collaboration, enhance language and cultural exchange, and promote international cooperation as part of the universities' internationalization efforts. Such collaboration is particularly meaningful within the ASEAN region, where member countries share many common characteristics and possess strong potential for deeper and broader cooperation.

Mrs. Somboon Chaochaikong, Vice Rector of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, expressed her sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by UD-UED to the visiting delegation. She hoped that the exchange program would foster greater mutual understanding between lecturers and students of both universities while creating more practical and effective opportunities for future collaboration.

In addition to university leaders and faculty members, the program was attended by 24 English Teacher Education students from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, together with lecturers and students from UD-UED. The exchange took place from July 25 to August 2, 2026, allowing participants to study, interact, and experience the vibrant culture and hospitality of the coastal city of Da Nang.

Throughout the program, students from both universities participated in a wide range of academic, cultural, and experiential activities. These included learning Vietnamese language and culture, exploring local traditions, and visiting renowned attractions in Da Nang and the ancient town of Hoi An. The participants also collaborated on videos themed "UED Through My Eyes," joined volunteer student activities, and experienced campus life at UD-UED.

With the support of the leadership of both universities and the University's functional units including the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of Learner Management and Library, the Faculty of Educational Psychology and Social Work, and the Center for Vietnamese Language and Culture, the program is expected to provide students from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University with deeper insights into Vietnamese language and culture, enhance their communication skills in a multicultural environment, and strengthen their capacity for international integration.
