On November 13, 2025, a group of students from UD- UFLS - excellently won the First Prize in the Japanese Speech Contest at Kanagawa Festival - 2025.

The student team, consisting of Nguyen Tan Tinh, Phan Thao Nguyen, and Ton Nu Bao Tran (from class 23CNJTM01) of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture, successfully impressed the judging panel with a performance demonstrating confidence, cultural understanding, and Japanese language proficiency to secure the First Prize in the Contest.

According to a representative of the Organizing Committee, this is a series of cultural and language exchange events that contribute to strengthening friendship and people-to-people diplomacy between Vietnam and Japan.

This year's program, held at Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa, attracted a large number of students, pupils, and Japanese language enthusiasts from Da Nang city and neighboring provinces.

According to student Phan Thao Nguyen, this was an honor, and also an opportunity to engage in Japanese language exchange with other competing teams, witnessed and encouraged by experts and teachers from various agencies, organizations, and businesses, especially with the presence of the Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture.

"This is also an experience that helps us students become more confident, dynamic, accumulate soft skills, and prepare for integration, delve deeper into the culture and people of Japan, and aim to become global citizens," Nguyen added.
