Recently, DT05 team (students) of Faculty of Environmental Engineering, the University of Danang-University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) included: Nguyen Ngoc Han, Nguyen Van Trung, Pham Thi Minh Yen, Ngo Huu Thanh Phuoc and Nguyen Thi Thu Thao won the first prize of the contest "Innovative ideas for Smart Water Management".

The proposed idea of ​​the DT05 team on the reuse technology of wastewater after treatment in combination with landscapes creation at homestays totally convinced the Jury of the Competition which was co-organized by Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Institute of Science, Technology and Environment of Hanoi University of Science and Technology and UD-DUT.

Awarding the first prize for UD-DUT’s team

The contest is an activity within the framework of "Joining hands to protect water resources" project sponsored by USAID, with the aim of raising awareness and changing behavior in economical use of students, businesses and communities; sharing solutions, technologies and models of water reuse at the enterprise.

Teams were trained to develop innovative ideas

According to Mr. Vo Nguyen Chuong - Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and Environment, a member of the jury shared that students had many creative ideas to join hands to use "smart" water, contributing to the creation of environmentally responsible lifestyle, building Da Nang to become an environmental city, towards a sustainable eco-urban in the future.

UD-DUT’s student achieved excellent results at the Contest

Besides the first prize of the DT05 team, students UD-DUT also won 01 second prize and 02 third prizes at the academic and creative "playground", gathering students from universities in Da Nang city.
