On September 30, 2024, the Government issued Resolution No. 169/NQ-CP, which approved the Action Program implementing Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW dated May 13, 2024, by the Politburo on continuing to execute Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo on building and developing the city of Danang by 2030 with a vision to 2045. The Action Program includes tasks and solutions to “Prioritize resource allocation to complete the University of Danang Urban Area, developing the University of Danang into a National University.”

The list of investment projects in infrastructure in Danang city striving to be completed before 2030, which includes the task of establishing the “University of Danang Urban Area,” with an implementation timeline of 2026-2030.

For the mission of human resource training, research, and technology transfer for the semiconductor industry and other high-tech industries, the Government’s Action Program specifies tasks and solutions for “effective collaboration between higher education institutions, vocational education institutions, and businesses.”

This is also the tradition and strength of the UD in recent years, as it pioneers high-quality human resource training, particularly in semiconductor chip design, through its member universities such as University of Science and Technology, University of Technology and Education, and Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology.

Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW (dated November 3, 2022) of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and Central Coast regions until 2030, with a vision to 2045, includes the task and solution to establish“the University of Danang as a National University.”

This important policy and task were reaffirmed in Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW of the Politburo regarding the continued implementation of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW on building and developing the city of Danang until 2030, with a vision to 2045, as well as in Decision No. 376/QĐ-TTg by the Prime Minister, approving the regional planning for the North Central and Central Coast regions for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

This is an important and strategic premise and political basis for the UD to continue striving toward the aspiration of becoming a National University by 2030.
