The first training course on Basic VLSI Circuit Physical Design was held for lecturers and students at The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology

06/03/2024

On the morning of February 20, 2024, at The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT), a short-term training course on "Basic VLSI Circuit Physical Design" took place for staff, lecturers students.

The training course on Semiconductor Circuits was held for the first time at UD-DUT

The training course was coordinated and accompanied by domestic and international partners such as: Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) - Ministry of Planning and Investment, FPT Group, Cadence Group, Tresemi Foundation from Silicon Valley, etc.

The course was for 41 participants who are staff, lecturers and students of UD-DUT

and was funded 100% of the tuition fee

This was the first course organized for more than 40 lecturers and students of UD-DUT to attend over a period of 03 months with theoretical content taught online and practical exercises at UD-DUT.

Students received theoretical and practical guidance on semiconductor circuits

from reputable experts from domestic and international partners

Through this training course, students were taught basic knowledge about the process and principles of physical design for VLSI large-scale integrated circuits by reputable experts; in-depth knowledge of using industry-standard EDA tools in circuit design and physical analysis; instructions on semiconductor circuit design skills such as: skills to optimize timing, area, energy consumption, reliability and feasibility in semiconductor circuit production, etc.

Organizing short-term training courses to promptly meet the needs of training and improving the capacity of lecturers and students about semiconductor chips

According to the Organizing Committee, this was a course jointly organized by agencies, organizations and universities for UD-DUT and the University of Information Technology – Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City.

All students participated in the course were 100% funded of tuition and qualified graduates were supported to connect with future career opportunities.
