The panorama of the Conference

After the musical performance, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of UD delivered an opening speech to welcome all participants to the conference. President Nguyen Ngoc Vu expressed his pleasure to co-operate with the ASIA-International Biomedical Science Consortium to host this event with the participants of various leading scientists and experts in the whole country and the Asia-Pacific region.

On behalf of 2,500 lecturers, scientific staff and nearly 58,000 students, President Nguyen Ngoc Vu sent his warmly welcomes and best wishes to the leaders of the ASIA-International Biomedical Science Consortium and the scientific and academic community for participating in this event. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu also gave a special thanks to the leaders of the ASIA-International Biomedical Science Consortium and donors for their trust and co-operation with UD to organize this event and highly appreciated the role of SMP-UD as the key unit to chair this event.

In the upcoming time, UD will continue to invest in all aspects including the project on developing Medical center of SMP-UD to become a practical hospital for implementing the strategy to become a University of Medicine and Pharmacy. President of UD hoped that the conference would be a bridge to connect various universities, institutes, research and training institutions, especially domestic scientists and experts to continue accompanying and supporting SMP-UD and VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, UD to develop and apply the latest research results in Biomedical field.

At the conference, Prof. Tuan V. Nguyen also gave a special thanks to the presence of the local authorities, especially UD’s President as well as the attention, guidance and sponsorship of UD for this important events. Prof. Tuan V. Nguyen acknowledged and appreciated the efforts and contributions of donors, SMP-UD and other functional units and departments of Danang city to organize the opening conference in Danang, a beautiful and hospitable city.

The conference aimed to raise awareness of the global importance of biomedical research in health care and clinical practice, particularly in the context of the genetic revolution. There were 06 topics in the conference relating to clinical application, personalized medicine, risk assessment, biomedical devices, High thoroughput data and bioinformatics and traditional medicine. The scientific program of the conference included 22 oral presentations, 59 scientific papers at plenary sessions and concurrent sessions, 58 posters on intellectual gatherings, research efforts and contribution of renowned scientists in biomedical field in the Asia-Pacific region.
