On 4 June, 2024, the University of Danang (UD) held the ceremony to announce the Decision No. 1665/QĐ-ĐHĐN dated 4th May 2024 on appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Vice President of the UD, to concurrently hold the position of Dean of VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education until a new leadership decision is made.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of the UD, Dr. Phan Minh Duc – Chairman of the UD’s Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan – Vice Presidents of the UD, leader representatives of member universities, affiliated units, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong – former Dean of VNUK Institute, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Giang Thi Kim Lien and Dr. Tran The Vu – Vice Dean of VNUK Institute, along with staff, lecturers and students of VNUK Institute.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu presented the decision of appointment and Dr. Phan Minh Duc presented flower to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan.

In his speech assigning tasks, the UD’s President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu requested and hoped that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan in his new position as Dean of VNUK Institute would promote the achievements made in the past time, boost the features and culture of VNUK Institute, especially the solidarity of staff, lecturers and students to develop the institute to new heights.

Appreciating the sense of responsibility and readiness to take on new tasks of the new Dean of VNUK Institute, the UD’s President Nguyen Ngoc Vu said that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan is an official with a lot of experience in leadership and management.

For his part, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan expressed his honor: “Today is a memorable day for me. I am deeply aware that this is a great responsibility, a trust that the Party Committee, the Board of Presidents of the UD, leaders, staff and students of VNUK Institute have entrusted to me”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan said that he will receive all the profound and meaningful instructions and assignments from the UD’s President with a high sense of responsibility; strive to promote his management experience; respect and promote the potentials, intelligence and efforts of the unit; seek the support of the Party Committee, the Board of Presidents, leaders of other member universities and affiliated units to continue implementing major policies to develop VNUK Institute.
