Leaders of the University of Danang visited the Lao Consulate General in Danang on April 8, 2026, to extend greetings on the occasion of Bunpimay, the traditional New Year festival of Laos, underscoring close educational ties between the two sides.

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac, Vice President of the University of Danang, and was received by Ms. Vonekham Cheuangmanivong, Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Danang.

Speaking on behalf of the university’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac conveyed his best wishes to the Consul General and the consulate’s staff for the Lao traditional New Year.

Ms. Vonekham Cheuangmanivong thanked UD for its close and effective cooperation, saying it had contributed to the development of high-quality human resources for Laos. She also acknowledged the university’s continued support for Lao students studying at its member institutions, including efforts to provide favorable conditions for their academic and daily lives.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with their cooperation and said they would continue to strengthen information-sharing and support mechanisms to further improve the quality of education for Lao students at the University of Danang.

They also reaffirmed the university’s standing as a reputable institution with longstanding experience in educating international students, contributing skilled human resources to localities and businesses in Laos.
