The University of Danang fostered the cooperation relationship with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands

In the morning of June 29th, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) chaired the meeting with the delegation from Saxion University of Applied Sciences (SUAS), including: Prof. Timber Haaker, chair research group on Business Models, Circular Economy; Prof. Harry Futselaar, chair research group on International Water Technology; Mrs. Christa Barkel, Senior researcher on Blockchain; and Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Ngoc, Manager Strategic Partnerships. Also attending the meeting there were senior representatives of UD-Department of Science, Technology and Environment, UD-Department of International Cooperation.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD warmly welcomed the delegation from SUAS to visit and work with UD. Vice President Le Quang Son also introduced the overview and key highlights of UD in the recent years.
“UD always focuses on establishing and promoting the scientific and technological research activities as well asdeepening the cooperation relationships with a lot of universities, research institutes, domestic and foreign organizations and businesses, especially partners in Europe and the Netherlands” said Vice President Le Quang Son.

“With a lot of institutes, research centers and 35 teaching research teams, UD hopes to establish and develop the long lasting relationship with SUAS on suitable potential activities such as: developing the lecturers and students exchange programs, seeking and improving joint research cooperation, co-organizing international prestigious events, conferences, conferences” shared Vice President Le Quang Son.
At the meeting, SUAS’S professors expressed their pleasure to visit and develop the cooperative opportunities with UD, focusing on potential scientific and technological research areas which both universities have strengths and are interested in.

Representatives of SUAS expressed their desire to connect with UD to develop research activities in the fields of Environment, Climate change, Circular economy... These cooperative issues are expected to be suitable to the needs of socio-economic development of Vietnam, in which SUAS has a lot of experiences and strengths.
Leaders of the two sides shared common interests, highly acknowledged the suggestions and orientations for cooperation in the upcoming time, especially focusing on finding funding for research and development, especially funding under the framework of Erasmus+ Project sponsored by the European Community.
