The University of Danang organized a program to introduce opportunities to study and work in Yokohama, Japan for students

In a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023), the University of Danang (UD) coordinated with the delegation from Yokohama city to hold a program in order to introduce opportunities to study and work in Yokohama, Japan for students.

Attending the program were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD, Mr. Konishi Yasuaki - Head of Asia-Pacific International Relations Department, Department of International Policy of the International Relations Bureau of Yokohama city, Japan; representatives of businesses and the Japan Internship Support Association (JISA).
Also attending were representatives of leaders of UD’s Office of Administrative Affairs and UD’s functional Departments (of International Cooperation, Student Affairs) and representatives of leaders of International Cooperation Departments and nearly 200 students of UD’s member universities and UD’s affiliated training units.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD, UD always attaches importance to and deepens traditional and friendly cooperative relationships with agencies, organizations, localities, businesses and Japanese universities, including partners from Yokohama city, Japan.

The results of many years of cooperation have brought practical values to the parties, including UD's students who have received many scholarships, Japanese language training, skill development support, job and internship opportunities, professional experience with Japanese businesses.

Through this program, UD wishes and hopes to contribute to further promoting and strengthening the good cooperative relationship with Yokohama city in particular, Japanese partners in general, in order to help students gain more information, understanding and opportunities to study, practice and work for future career development, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son shared.

At the program, the delegates and students listened to the speakers shared useful information relating to the living and working environment as well as opportunities for recruitment, employment and internships in Yokohama city, Japan.

With nearly 7,000 large/ small enterprises, of which there are currently approximately 10,000 Vietnamese officials and employees living and working in Yokohama, the demand from Japan for high-quality human resources is great, which brings many opportunities for UD students in the future (average salary working in Yokohama is about 220,000 Japanese yen, equivalent to 40 million VND), Mr. Konishi Yasuaki - Head of Asia-Pacific International Relations Department, Department of International Policy of the International Relations Bureau in Yokohama, Japan, shared.

Japanese partners and businesses highly appreciated the qualities, capabilities, creative behaviour and spirit of overcoming difficulties, self-reliance of Vietnamese students, including UD students, and expressed their desire to have the best human resources such as excellent students of UD to cooperate and work in Yokohama, Japan in the coming time.
