Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) and representatives of relevant departments (Planning and Finance Affairs, International Cooperation) attended an online meeting with Indiana University, the US (IU) on the Vietnam-Partnership for Higher Education Reform Project (namely PHER).

Attendees were also leaders of Vietnam National University – Hanoi, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, and experts from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The online meeting with Project-involved parties

At the meeting, IU's leadership representative introduced the purpose and content of the work program with the focus to kick off the co-creation phase of the PHER Project in the coming time.

IU's side proposed plans, orientations, and principles for the parties, including UD's participation in co-design, and emphasized the Toolkit for collaborative process support and the implementation promotion of the said important project.

Representatives of UD's leaders actively participated in the discussion and agreed on the main point of view and content of the plan, which emphasized the role of experienced consulting agencies and organizations such as IU, USAID for Vietnamese universities. UD shall nominate personnel to involve in the Project Management Board to strengthen close and effective coordination with the co-chairing and participating partners in the Project.

Given participants of the meeting discussed and shared their views on the practice of each university's development strategy model, and suggestions to the Co-creation Toolkit, thereby proposing to continue improving the plan and roadmap suitable to the actual context of development and integration of Vietnamese higher education.
