The University of Danang pushes cooperation with University of the West of England, Bristol, the UK

The University of Danang (UD) has recently signed a cooperation agreement with University of the West of England, Bristol, the UK (UWE). The signing ceremony was virtually held with the presiding of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of UD and Prof. Steven West, President of UWE.

Attendees of the meeting were Prof. Ray Priest - International Director for Asia-Pacific; Mr. Patrick McCrudden - Partner Development Manager, Asia Pacific, UWE; UWE Country Manager, Marketing Manager, Senior Administration Manager and representatives of leaders of relevant departments of UD.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of UD highly appreciated the significance of the cooperation agreement between the two universities, and expressed his belief that it would mark a significant milestone to promote a comprehensive and effective cooperation relationship, reaching the shared needs and interests.
“The University of Danang always attaches special importance to and expands cooperation with universities, organizations and businesses in the UK, considering these as prestigious strategic partners for educational and scientific development cooperation in the process of Eur-Asian integration” – emphasized Vice President Le Quang Son.

From the point of UWE, Prof. Steven West expressed his gladness, affirming that this was a memorable mark for the two sides to promote potential, strengths and similarities to jointly promote cooperation, aiming to value contribution, serving the community benefits of the two countries.
Leaders of UWE expressed their hope to soon have the opportunity to visit UD, thereby continuing to strengthen cooperation in the fields of training and scientific research.

According to the recently signed cooperation agreement, the two universities would promote cooperation activities to exchange experts, lecturers and students as the Covid-19 pandemic situation is under control; cooperate to research and project development and coordinate to organize international scientific events/conferences, etc.

The two universities also agreed to deploy joint training at undergraduate (2+2, 3+1) and postgraduate level by blended learning which combine face-to-face training and online method, PhD mentorship, sharing of learning resources, publications and educational/research materials exchange, application and technology transfer for "smart" urban development.
