According to the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities just announced in January 2021, the University of Danang (UD) continues to hold its rank in the Top 06 leading universities in Vietnam.

This result showed UD's efforts to synchronously and actively implement solutions such as: Improving communication efficiency; Synchronously connecting UD's website with UD’s member universities and affiliated units, domestic and international partners; Increasing international scientific publication (with indexes in ISI, SCOPUS systems with many new, valuable and cited research results); Improving Science and Technology Journal; Regularly publishing digital media publications (Newsletter, Annual Report, etc.)

Especially forthe past year, UD has put into operation and applied the website (new website) www.udn.vn  with many innovations in utilities, modern technology, friendly interface, information, images which were always updated fully, accurately and promptly for external and internal media, and connected with the community.

Webometrics is a system of ranking for universities based on aggregate indexes including website content volume, number of views and influence of external publications (website citations).

The ranking is aimed at encouraging the improvement of the presence of research institutes on the website and promoting the publication and citation of scientific research results of universities around the world.

Webometrics highlights the support for Open Access initiatives to improve the ability to access scientific research information and electronic published academic documents.

Webometrics gives results of ranking universities in the world based on the parameters of websites of educational institutions according to 04 criteria:

Presence: The number of subsites hosted on the university's system identified by Google;

Impact: Number of backlinks from other websites back to the university's website;

Openess: Number of citations to scientific works on Google Scholar data sources;

Excellence: Top 10% of articles published by the university's faculty and scientists in the most-cited scientific journals in the Scopus category.

Webometrics is updated periodically twice a year (January and July). For over the past two years, UD has continuously approached the top 400 leading universities in Asia (according to QS-Asia), top 03 leading universities in Vietnam (according to uniRank) and maintained the ranking of top 06 leading universities in Vietnam (according to Webomectris), etc.  UD continues to firmly affirm itsprestige and academic status to reach the international level, integrate with regional and world universities.
