On the morning of December 9^th, 2021, the University of Danang – University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) ​​honored to receive the Third-class Labor Medal awarded from the President of Vietnam.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Duong – UD’s Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc - Secretary of the Party Committee cum Rector of UD-UFLS; members of UD-UFLS’s Rectorate board and the School Council; former rectors of UD-UFLS through the periods; senior representatives of offices, faculties, centers and officials; lecturers and students of UD-UFLS and a lot of delegates attending the event via online platforms.

At the ceremony, Rector Tran Huu Phuc expressed his honor to be on behalf of UD-UFLS’s team to receive the Third-class Labor Medal from the Vietnamese President - the noble award for the achievements and efforts of staff, lecturers and students during the development period from the 2015-2016 school year to the 2019-2020 one.

On this occasion, Rector Tran Huu Phuc gave sincerely thanks to the interest of Party, the State, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the direction of UD’s leaders, the support of local authorities, enterprises, domestic and foreign partners, UD’s member universities and affiliated units, especially the relentless efforts of staff, lecturers and learners; the enthusiasm of the previous generations of UD-UFLS.

Over 36 years of construction and development, UD-UFLS has continuously developed to achieve many outstanding achievements and received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2015; the excellent emulation flag for the 2016-2017, 2018-2019 school years from MOET. In addition, UD-UFLS has been selected as one of the five centers of the whole country taking responsibility to implement the tasks of training human resources for teaching and researching foreign languages, linguistics and international studies; consulting; strategic planning on foreign language training in the national education system by the Government, the MOET and the Management Board of the National Foreign Language Project.
