On May 17, The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) organized a tour program of practical experience, language and cultural exchange for international students who are studying Vietnamese language program in UD-UED.

The program was organized for international students to have field trip at cultural, scenic and tourist destinations of Da Nang city and Quang Nam province such as: Museum of Cham Sculpture, Marble Mountains, Thanh Ha Pottery Village, Tra Que Vegetable Village (Hoi An), etc.

Authentic hands-on experience on pottery making at Thanh Ha Pottery Village

During  the Marble Mountains visit, international students were guided to learn about historical culture and visit to enjoy the landscape of cultural and natural relics, thereby gaining more understanding about cultural life, spirituality and natural beauty of one of the famous heritages of Da Nang city.

Experience one day of being a farmer at Tra Que Vegetable Village

At the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, international students showed their interest to learn new knowledge at the place of preserving and promoting the heritage values of the flourishing periods of the Champa culture in Vietnam.

The program gave students useful practical experiences 

International students had the experience of visiting the destinations of the ancient town of Hoi An recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage such as: Tra Que Vegetable Village with traditional vegetable growing activities of local farmers, Thanh Ha Pottery Village with the peaceful countryside of traditional craft villages which has cultural art works inspired by talented, hardworking and hospitable artisans…

Through the program, international students also had the opportunity to directly exchange and practice Vietnamese with local people, thereby gaining more motivation, confidence and excitement to effectively study the modules of the Vietnamese Language Education Program for international students at UD-UED, creating an important step to continue studying and researching majors at UD’s member universities and affiliated training units.
