On the morning of November 15, 2024, The University of Danang - VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education (UD-VNUK) solemnly held the 10^th Anniversary Ceremony of its establishment and the journey of formation and development (2014 - 2024).

Delivering the Commemorative Speech at the Ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Vice President of UD, Dean of UD-VNUK highlighted the significance of the event, not only commemorating an important milestone but also an opportunity for generations of UD-VNUK lecturers and students to be recognized, evaluated and honored for their 10-year journey of formation and development.

The leaders of UD-VNUK respectfully welcome and thank the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and UD, especially the Presidents of UD, former Presidents of UD, former leaders of UD-VNUK, international and domestic partners, parents and generations of students who have given UD-VNUK their valuable attention, support and help, adding motivation for UD-VNUK to actively contribute to the cause of training high-quality human resources, promoting scientific research and innovation.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan shared that the establishment of UD-VNUK (according to Decision No. 5555/QD-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training dated November 22, 2013) came from the strategic vision and policy decisions, aspirations of the leaders of the two governments of Vietnam and the United Kingdom, ministries, sectors, especially the Ministry of Education and Training and UD, wishing to have a pioneering model applying the advanced model of education of the United Kingdom as well as developed countries in the practice of university governance innovation, implementing training programs according to international standards at UD, and integrating into the process of internationalization of university education.

Overcoming difficulties in facilities, staff and initial policy mechanism shortcomings, but with the attention and close guidance of the leaders of UD, the support and assistance of UK partners such as Aston University, especially the efforts and spirit of self-reliance, and unceasing creativity of the collective leadership, management, staff and lecturers, and students of UD-VNUK, up to now, although there are still many challenges ahead, UD-VNUK is now truly a beloved common home of enthusiastic, passionate and aspiring lecturers and researchers, where each person can dedicate their intelligence and enthusiasm to training, inspiring science for generations of dynamic students, confidently keeping up with the 4.0 Revolution, aiming for global citizens.

The President of UD highly appreciated the significance of the event as a milestone marking a 10-year journey of formation and development of the UD-VNUK, a great joy not only for generations of lecturers and students of UD-VNUK but also for UD to review together the unforgettable memories of the years of exploring a new training model full of hardships, challenges but also great pride. On that basis, we will summarize the accumulated experiences to guide the development of UD-VNUK in the future.

Recognizing and praising the great dedication, silent contributions, and enthusiasm of the lecturers and students of UD-VNUK for the development of UD-VNUK in particular and UD in general, President of UD Nguyen Ngoc Vu said that, overcoming many difficulties in the early days, with the dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm of the lecturers and staff with the motto "One person does many tasks, one task many people do together" and the determination to study of generations of students, UD-VNUK has gradually stabilized and developed, leaving many strong impressions on the 10-year journey of formation and development.

Up to now, UD-VNUK has become a prestigious Institute, a reliable Institute training address, recognized and highly appreciated by society. In particular, the Institute has created a positive, dynamic, creative, friendly and exciting learning and working environment with its own style, focusing on training teamwork skills, developing presentation and critical thinking, improving foreign language skills; equipping students with knowledge to be a solid foundation to become global citizens in the future.

Many alumni of the Institute have worked and contributed to large corporations and enterprises. Many have received prestigious scholarships, continued their studies and professional development at leading universities at home and abroad. UD-VNUK lecturers and students have achieved many high achievements in academic, scientific research and innovation arenas. The journey of the past 10 years can be said to be a journey of creating values, reputation and position for UD-VNUK.

The President of UD directed and hoped that the past 10 years were a period of exploration, and the next 10 years would be a period of breakthrough. All staff, lecturers and students of UD-VNUK need to further promote the achieved results, the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creativity, strive to develop UD-VNUK to a new height, be a bright spot in international cooperation and business relations, perfect the university administration apparatus in a professional and modern direction associated with digital transformation; increase the training scale reasonably, strongly develop training programs in English so that UD-VNUK becomes a pioneer in implementing the policy of making English the second language, training generations of students with entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, global citizens, contributing with the country entering a "new era, the era of national development".

At the Ceremony, authorized by the Minister of Education and Training, the President of UD awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Minister to UD-VNUK and Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong - Former Dean of UD-VNUK for her outstanding achievements in building and developing the unit, contributing to the common achievements of UD on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of building and developing UD.
