The University of Danang’s delegation attended the inception seminar of the MONTUS project


The MONTUS project (Master of New Technologies Using Services) within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program was started in 2019 and will be ended by 2021. It aims to facilitate the project’s members which are universities, affiliated colleges (hereinafter referred to as higher education institutions - HEIs) to share experiences, support each other in building master’s training programs in new technologies using services such as big data, cloud computer, etc.

The MONTUS project is chaired by the University of Toulouse 2 – Jean Jaurés (France) with the participation of 13 HEIs from Europe and Southeast Asia, specifically 3 of France, 1 of Italy, 1 of Belgium, 4 of Vietnam including the University of Danang (UD), 2 of Thailand and 2 of Cambodia.

The first seminar of the project – called the “kick-off” one – was held at the University of Toulouse 2 from 18th to 22nd February 2019. Among 35 delegates attending the seminar this time, the UD’s delegation included 3 members: Dr. Hoang Dung – Vice Rector of University of Technology and Education – UD; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Dean of Faculty of Information Technology – University of Science and Technology – UD; Dr. Le Van Minh – Lecturer of School of Communication and Information Technology – UD.

During the first days of the seminar, the participants met and introduced each other, presented the activities which would be implemented within the framework of the project. In the following days, the delegates exchanged ideas, experiences in order to establish a prominent master’s program in new technologies using services, at the same time ensure the modernity, integration and shared resources of the program.

The MONTUS project is a succession, a new development step of the TORUS project that ended in 2018 and also chaired by the University of Toulouse 2 – Jean Jaurés.
