The University of Danang’s leader visited and congratulated the Lao Consulate General in Danang on the 45th anniversary of Lao PDR’s National Day

On November 30, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the National Day of Lao PDR (December 2, 1975 – December 2, 2020), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the University of Danang (UD), led the UD’s delegation to visit and congratulate the Lao Consulate General in Danang. H.E. Mr. Viengxay Phommachanh – Lao Consul General in Danang hosted the delegation.

Attending the meeting were the spouse of the Lao Consul General, First Secretary (in charge of Education – Culture) Kongma Vongsengchanh, as well as leader representatives from functional departments of the UD (International Cooperation, Student Affairs).

On behalf of the UD’s leaders, Vice President Le Quang Son sincerely sent his best wishes to Lao Consul General in Danang Viengxay Phommachanh and all diplomatic staff members of the Consulate General on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Lao PDR’s National Day.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son highly appreciated and expressed gratitude for the consideration, support and cooperation of the Lao Consulate General in Danang with the UD over the past years, especially in the field of educational cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

The UD’s Vice President had a firm belief that, in the time to come, thanks to close and effective cooperation among relevant units of the two countries, especially the Lao Consulate General in Danang, the UD will continue to be a “destination”, a “reliable address” that helps to strengthen the bridge of the Vietnam – Laos traditional friendship.

At the reception, Lao Consul General in Danang Viengxay Phommachanh heartfeltly thanked the UD’s leaders for their consideration, support and effective cooperation in the cause of building, developing and training high-quality human resource for Laos for many years.

The Lao Consul General re-affirmed and highly appreciated the UD in general, its member universities in particular, for the training, management and support for Lao students. Many Lao alumni of the UD have brought into play their skills and knowledge, which positively contributed to the socio-economic development of Laos.

The Lao Consul General in Danang expressed his wish to continue to receive the attention, support and collaboration of the UD in undergraduate and postgraduate training.
