On August 2, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of the University of Danang (UD) hosted Mr. James Lee – General Director of Foxlink Vietnam Group.

There was also the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the UD, Mrs. Ngo Pham Tran – Advisor of Foxlink Vietnam Group, leader representatives of relevant functional departments of the UD (Academic Affairs, Science  - Technology and Environment, Planning and Financial Affairs, Student Affairs, International Cooperation), representatives of board of rectors of the UD’s member universities (University of Science and Technology, University of Foreign Language Studies, University of Technology and Education).

Overview of the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu expressed his pleasure to receive and work with senior leaders of Foxlink Vietnam Group.

The UD’s President introduced to the partner the overview of highlights of the UD which is currently a key regional multidisciplinary university.

The UD received attention and investment from the Vietnamese government to develop to be one of three leading research and training centers in the country.

In order to realize this strategic goal, the UD always attaches importance to strengthening academia – industry link, promoting international cooperation to improve the quality of training and research in the context of integration with many partners in the world.

The UD’s President shared his hope that through the meeting, the UD and Foxlink Vietnam Group will have more opportunities to develop cooperation based on the potentials, strengths and needs of both sides, bringing many good values to the UD’s students.

For his part, Mr. James Lee – General Director of Foxlink Vietnam Group, expressed his joy at having the opportunity to visit and work with the UD.

Mr. James Lee said that the purpose of this visit is to accompany the UD in training and human resource development, promote scientific research and innovation, especially in areas such as renewable energy and electronic products.

In the coming time, Foxlink Vietnam Group plans to invest in building Foxlink factory in the Danang Hi-tech Park to produce electronic products and develop renewable energy. At this factory, Foxlink will establish an R&D Center that has many cooperation potentials with the UD.
