The University of Danang’s President worked online with the Director of the AUF Asia – Pacific

On November 12, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of the University of Danang (UD), had an online meeting with Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Director of Asia – Pacific Region, the Francophonie University Association (AUF).

Attending were leader representatives and staff of the AUF and the UD’s Department of International Cooperation.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of the UD, shared with the Director of the AUF Asia – Pacific about the education development orientations and strategies as well as scientific research of the UD.
The UD’s President affirmed that he always attaches great importance to and highly appreciates the relationship and traditional good cooperation between the UD with the AUF in particular, with French-speaking universities, educational and scientific institutions in general. The UD’s President also expressed his desire that the AUF continues to be the bridge of promoting the cooperation in the coming time.

For his part, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest stated his consideration and appreciation for the prestige and training quality of the UD in its mission of providing high quality human resources for the development of localities and enterprises in the Central region as well as Vietnam.
The AUF’s representative said the organization would like to grant 5,000 Euro to support the UD’s students facing difficulties caused by natural disasters and the Covid-19 pandemic, especially ones attending French-instructed programs.
“The AUF is like a family and we are ready to share and support the members of this big family”, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest stressed.
