On March 27, 2025, the University of Danang - the University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) organized a scientific workshop on the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW issued by the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

In the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam - Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the University Council - emphasized that the workshop aims to raise awareness and unify action with strong political determination across the University’s Party Committee in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

“This marks a new driving force, creating fresh momentum among the faculty, Party members, lecturers, and staff, especially as the University has recently finalized the appointment of new leadership positions and successfully held the Party cell congresses for the 2025–2027 term” shared Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam.

At the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - UD-DUT’s Rector emphasized and clarified the upcoming key tasks to promote and enhance the effectiveness of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, including:

Focusing on education and training: improving infrastructure and laboratory facilities to help students better access S&T; updating academic programs to match current development trends, especially in information technology and artificial intelligence.

Promoting scientific research among faculty and students; encouraging collaborative research with local authorities and resolving issues related to S&T activities.

Enhancing S&T transfer to businesses, building a bridge between research and practical application.

Applying science and technology in teaching, especially online education and simulation software tools.

Building a creative learning environment, encouraging students to participate in scientific research.

Accelerating digital transformation, adopting digital solutions for administrative operations, and developing applications to support both students and lecturers.

During the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tien Dung - Vice Rector - officially announced the Implementation Plan for Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW. Leaders of various offices and faculties presented enthusiastic and constructive reports, including:

A presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Duc Binh - Head of the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation – proposing breakthrough solutions in S&T activities and increasing investment from diverse sources to improve quality and effectiveness.

A report by Dr. Phạm Thị Trang - Lecturer from the Faculty of Project Management – proposing solutions to enhance UD-DUT’s S&T development capacity.

A presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Thị Kim Thoa - Lecturer from Faculty of Environmental Engineering - sharing experience in implementing S&T projects within the university.
